Verner Web Studio Soccer Club

I've been pretty active sponsoring local sports teams, since I have started Verner Web Studio. I know how important sports were to me when I was a wee lad, so I've tried to give back. In the past, I've been a sponsor of wrestling and hockey teams, but I've taken it to the next level - I own a soccer team.

Ok, so maybe not own, but I am the sole sponsor and they have my name on the back of their jerseys, so it is the next best thing. They aren't half bad either, 2-1 on the season and they won 6-2 the night I made it to one of their games.

The truth is they have given me something as well - by sponsoring the team, I have learned that there is actually a kind of soccer I like. Indoor soccer kind of rocks. I wish there was an adult team in the area!

While we are on the topic of sports sponsorships, I've also been working with McGuffey Wrestling to create a site for all phases of their program. In the past, I was a sponsor of the youth team (and created a WordPress-based site for them), but now you can get all of the latest news at McGuffeyWrestling.com.
